Abstract
Nanotechnology offers transformative potential in the treatment of infectious diseases through the development of targeted drug delivery systems. By engineering nanoparticles with specific characteristics, therapeutic agents can be delivered directly to infection sites, enhancing drug efficacy and reducing side effects. This article discusses the design and application of nanocarriers for infectious diseases, explores current challenges, and highlights future opportunities in integrating nanotechnology with antimicrobial therapies.
