Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally and play crucial roles in various physiological and pathological processes. In pharmacology and drug development, miRNAs have emerged as both therapeutic targets and biomarkers for disease diagnosis, drug efficacy, and toxicity. This article discusses the mechanisms of miRNA-mediated gene regulation, their implications in drug resistance and sensitivity, and the ongoing advancements in miRNA-based therapeutics and diagnostics.
