Abstract
The development of effective and patient-friendly drug delivery systems for pediatric populations poses unique challenges due to anatomical, physiological, and behavioral differences from adults. Traditional dosage forms often result in poor compliance, incorrect dosing, and suboptimal therapeutic outcomes. This article explores innovative drug delivery technologies tailored for children, such as orally disintegrating tablets, mini-tablets, transdermal patches, and nanocarrier-based systems. It also discusses the importance of taste masking, flexible dosing, and regulatory considerations specific to pediatric formulations, aiming to improve therapeutic efficacy and patient adherence.
