Abstract
Drug-induced toxicity remains a major challenge in clinical pharmacology, leading to adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and significant health risks. One of the key mechanisms underlying drug-induced toxicity is inflammation, which can exacerbate tissue damage and contribute to organ dysfunction. This article explores the role of inflammation in drug-induced toxicity, focusing on the inflammatory pathways involved, the impact of different drug classes on immune responses, and strategies for mitigating inflammation-related toxicity. Additionally, the article discusses the challenges in identifying inflammation-related ADRs and the future directions for research in this area.
