Abstract
Herbal medicine represents one of the most widely practiced modalities within the domain of complementary and alternative therapies (CAM). Rooted in traditional healing systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, and Western herbalism, herbal remedies are increasingly integrated into modern healthcare for chronic illness management, wellness promotion, and disease prevention. This article explores the scientific rationale, therapeutic applications, and safety considerations of herbal medicine as part of CAM. It further highlights the need for rigorous clinical trials and regulatory frameworks to ensure efficacy, standardization, and patient safety.
