Abstract
Pharmacokinetics (PK) is the study of the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) of drugs within the body. Understanding pharmacokinetics is fundamental to the development of safe and effective medications. It ensures that drug concentrations reach therapeutic levels, minimize toxicity, and support desired effects. This paper explores the significance of pharmacokinetics in determining drug safety and efficacy, with an emphasis on drug interactions, dosing regimens, and individual variability in drug response. Additionally, the role of pharmacokinetics in clinical practice, especially in personalized medicine, is discussed.
