Abstract
Plasma physics plays a pivotal role in advancing industrial manufacturing by enabling precise material modification, enhanced surface properties, and environmentally friendly processing techniques. The application of both thermal and non-thermal plasmas in processes such as surface engineering, semiconductor fabrication, and waste treatment has transformed production efficiency and material performance. This article explores the fundamental principles of plasma generation, reviews state-of-the-art plasma-assisted manufacturing techniques, and highlights the emerging trends that align with the industry’s push toward miniaturization, sustainability, and customization.
