Abstract
Lean production techniques have revolutionized manufacturing operations by improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall product quality. In high-volume manufacturing systems, where large quantities of products are produced under tight time constraints, the implementation of lean principles is essential for maintaining competitive advantage. This paper examines the application of lean production techniques in high-volume manufacturing environments, focusing on key methods such as Just-In-Time (JIT) production, Kaizen, and value stream mapping. We explore the benefits, challenges, and successful case studies, and discuss how lean techniques can be adapted and implemented to improve manufacturing processes in high-volume production settings.
