Abstract

Advanced materials have become pivotal in driving innovation within electrical engineering, enabling enhanced device performance, energy efficiency, and miniaturization. This paper reviews the recent progress in advanced materials applied to electrical engineering, focusing on conductive polymers, nanomaterials, wide bandgap semiconductors, and dielectric materials. It discusses their unique electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties that contribute to superior performance in applications such as power electronics, sensors, energy storage, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Challenges related to material synthesis, integration, and long-term reliability are also addressed. Future research directions emphasize the development of multifunctional materials and environmentally sustainable solutions.
