Abstract
Industrial chemistry plays a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of chemicals and materials essential for modern society. However, as global awareness of environmental issues rises, there is an increasing need for industrial processes that are both economically viable and environmentally sustainable. This article explores the role of chemical engineers in advancing sustainability within industrial chemistry. It focuses on innovations in process optimization, waste reduction, resource efficiency, and the integration of renewable resources. The paper also discusses the challenges faced by chemical engineers in achieving sustainability goals and the importance of green chemistry in shaping future industrial practices.
